EggFruit

“A giant kiwifruit that can speak and listen.”

EggFruit is a mobile recording booth that gathers and broadcasts the thoughts and ideas of the people of Aotearoa New Zealand.  

It’s a space for exchange and reflection, developed as an alternative method of public consultation around issues of national identity (eg. the failed flag referendum of 2016). EggFruit offers an experimental new approach.

Eggfruit has appeared as part of Barbarian Uprising 2017 and 2019, at Te Papa and on the Wellington Waterfront as part of What if the City Was a Theatre in 2021, and at CubaDupa in 2021. (Available on demand).
